A Pivot to Pretty
Early influences
La Maison Sanson founder and chief designer, Patricia Pedraza Sanson, holds a vast visual archive in her mind's eye. Fortunate to have lived and travelled around the globe since an early age, she has led a life rich in visual experience which explains a deep creativity that continues to blossom into a unique style. Patricia's globetrotting multi-culti youth is a constant influence and reference in her art & design. Exposure to so many different countries, varied cultures, and exotic sights, diverse flora & fauna, revealed a broad definition of beauty.
Other influences
Patricia spent decades as a television news producer and executive which also trained her already-keen eye to notice the smallest details. She is hyper-vigilant as she travels through her day, stopping often and anywhere to capture an image that catches her eye. After an award-winning career in journalism, she is thrilled to now have the creative freedom to beautify, enhance, and manipulate images to her eye's delight and heart's content. Breaking news: Patricia has pivoted to pretty, and loves spotlighting and sharing the pure beauty she sees in the world. Patricia dreams of flooding the world with beautiful images. Patricia Pedraza Sanson has exhibited and sold her artwork in galleries, shows, festivals, outdoor markets, restaurants, banks, libraries and stores in the U.S. Her creations have also been showcased in magazines. She hopes to show internationally. Here's a glimpse of some behind-the-scenes views of her beloved little 'she shed" art studio where many of her ideas take shape. And of the dreamy private art studio she enjoyed at the Ridgefield Guild of Artists where she was honored to do a fun & productive stint as their "Artist-in-Residence". Prior to La Maison Sanson, Patricia's art & designs were sold under the Patricia Pedraza Design label.
